I am a scientist with over 30 years of experience in research, project/program management and policy work (International Standards and Nanoscience policy). I received my B.S. in Zoology and Physiology from Louisiana State University and my Ph.D. in Chemical Carcinogenesis (Molecular Biology/Biophysics – within the Division of Biological Sciences) from the University of Texas at Austin.
Previously, I served as Managing Director for the Center for Sustainable Materials Chemistry (CSMC), a large NSF funded Center for Chemical Innovation. Prior to the CSMC, I served as Assistant Director for the Safer Nanomaterials and Nanomanufacturing Initiative (SNNI), a virtual Center funded by the Air Force Research laboratory though ONAMI. Before that, I managed a large ARO MURI and I’ve also worked in industry.
